The encounter of water and light
Concept:
Light is pure energy — it reveals form and color. With lasers, this energy is condensed and precisely controlled to draw shapes in space.
Water is a fundamental element of life — paradoxically abundant and increasingly scarce. In the form of mist, it creates a veil of particles that reveals the paths of light beams, while also highlighting their ability to reflect and diffract.
This is the meeting of two pure elements.
A word from Ctrl-Z:
For several years, I had the desire to work with lasers, and it was through the immersive project “42” that the opportunity finally arose. From a scenographic perspective, it was the most coherent form of illumination to enhance the architectural dimension of the piece.
My exploration of water stems from a previous residency focused on glass as a material. There, working with transparency through light gave me the chance to experiment with its visual potential.
